A remote control car is the most searched toy in Pakistan and the hardest one to price, because the same phrase covers a Rs 3,000 flip car and a Rs 20,000 rock crawler. So we counted. Out of 25,971 product listings pulled from 10 Pakistani toy shops, 1,004 of them are RC cars. That is more than any other toy category we track, by a distance.

The sold out ones are the cheap ones, so the price you read in a search result is about Rs 955 below the price you can actually pay today. Of the 346 RC cars you could actually buy on the day we checked, 10% were under Rs 3,000, 34% were under Rs 5,000, and 17% were over Rs 10,000.

Stunt and rollover cars
We found 198 listings. The middle half sit between Rs 3,499 and Rs 7,160, with the middle of the market at Rs 5,550. Of those, 75 were actually in stock, and their middle price was Rs 6,990.
The cheapest way into a proper radio set. It drives on both sides and flips itself back over, so a child who cannot steer yet still gets something out of it.
Racing and sports cars
We found 165 listings. The middle half sit between Rs 3,395 and Rs 7,199, with the middle of the market at Rs 4,995. Of those, 47 were actually in stock, and their middle price was Rs 5,850.
Licensed body shapes sit at the top of this band. An unbranded copy of the same car is usually a third cheaper and drives the same.
Monster trucks and off-road
We found 154 listings. The middle half sit between Rs 4,480 and Rs 19,500, with the middle of the market at Rs 7,442. Of those, 36 were actually in stock, and their middle price was Rs 6,794.
The widest band on this page. Big wheels and a suspension arm cost real money, and this is where the Rs 15,000 and up listings live.
Drift cars
We found 151 listings. The middle half sit between Rs 4,795 and Rs 7,850, with the middle of the market at Rs 5,495. Of those, 57 were actually in stock, and their middle price was Rs 6,495.
Drift sets need hard plastic tyres and a smooth floor. On a carpet or a rough terrace they do not do the thing they were bought for.
Construction trucks and trailers
We found 135 listings. The middle half sit between Rs 3,995 and Rs 15,760, with the middle of the market at Rs 7,390. Of those, 34 were actually in stock, and their middle price was Rs 7,994.
Priced by how many of the arms actually move under the remote. A tipper that only drives is near the bottom of the band.
Transforming and robot cars
We found 34 listings. The middle half sit between Rs 3,499 and Rs 8,380, with the middle of the market at Rs 5,972. Of those, 16 were actually in stock, and their middle price was Rs 6,495.
One button turns the car into a robot. The mechanism is the cost, not the electronics.
Helicopters, planes and drones
We found 88 listings. The middle half sit between Rs 5,000 and Rs 10,999, with the middle of the market at Rs 7,472. Of those, 45 were actually in stock, and their middle price was Rs 6,999.
Not cars, but they sit in the same aisle and the same searches. Anything under about Rs 5,000 here is an indoor toy with a few minutes of flight.
Motorbikes
We found 20 listings. The middle half sit between Rs 4,995 and Rs 12,990, with the middle of the market at Rs 6,295.
A small category with a high floor, because a two-wheeler needs a gyro to stay upright.
What the scale number on the box means for the price
A 1:16 car is one sixteenth the size of the real thing, so a smaller second number means a bigger toy. It is the most reliable price signal on the box, more reliable than the picture.

The store with the biggest RC catalogue is not the store with the most RC cars you can buy. One shop carries most of the listings in this data and almost none of them are in stock.

What actually moves the price of an RC car
- The battery. A rechargeable pack with a USB lead is the single biggest step up from a car that eats AA cells. It is also the difference between a toy that gets played with twice and one that gets played with all month.
- Size. See the scale table above. A 1:10 car costs roughly three times a 1:18 of the same type, because it is roughly three times the box.
- What the remote can do. Two channels means forwards and turn. Four channels or "proportional" means you can hold a speed and a steering angle. That is a real jump.
- Whether the licensed name is on it. A branded body shape carries a licence fee. The unbranded version of the same shell drives identically.
- Delivery. Rs 200 to Rs 300 is normal in Pakistan and it is usually added after you have chosen the car. Ours is free anywhere in Lahore, with no minimum order.
Questions people ask about RC car prices
What is a reasonable price for a kid's RC car in Pakistan?
For a first RC car for a child of about five to eight, the honest answer is somewhere between Rs 3,500 and Rs 6,000. Below Rs 3,000 you are usually looking at a pull-back or a two-button car rather than a proper radio set. Above Rs 10,000 you are paying for size and a hobby-grade suspension that a young child will not use.
Why is the cheap one always out of stock?
Because it sold. 66% of the RC listings in this data were unavailable, and the sold out ones sit at the cheap end of every band. Search results do not remove a listing when the stock runs out, so the cheapest thing on the page is often the thing you cannot have.
Rechargeable or AA batteries?
Rechargeable, if the budget stretches. The listings that say rechargeable in this data sit at about the same middle price as the rest of the market, so it is rarely the expensive option, and a car that runs on six AA cells costs money every weekend.
Is a stunt car a real RC car?
Yes, and it is the sensible first one. It drives on either side and rights itself, which means a child who cannot steer properly yet does not need an adult to pick it up every ten seconds. This is the one we stock.
Do these prices include delivery?
Usually not. Most of the stores in this data add Rs 200 to Rs 300 at the checkout.

25,971 product listings pulled from 10 Pakistani toy stores, including toyzone.pk, thetoyfactory.pk, toycompany.pk, topifye.com, toymall.pk, planetjunior.pk, kidstorepk.com, onetoystore.com, toynix.pk and babyplanet.pk. Prices and stock were read from the stores' own product data, not typed in by hand. 1,004 of those listings are RC cars.
